Astrologer Studio v2 has been completely rebuilt from scratch. Every aspect of the platform — from the charts to the interface to the calculation engine — has been redesigned to be faster, more precise, and ready for the features our users have been asking for.
How We Calculate Your Charts
We are the creators and maintainers of both libephemeris and Kerykeion.
- libephemeris reads planetary positions directly from NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory data — the same data used for space missions. No middlemen, no proprietary software.
- Kerykeion v6 is our astrology engine, used by thousands of astrologers and researchers worldwide. It turns raw astronomical data into the charts, aspects, and houses you work with every day.
All astronomical data in Astrologer Studio comes 100% from NASA. We do not rely on any third-party ephemeris provider.
Supporting Free Software
Astrologer Studio is a commercial product, but it exists to sustain free software. Revenue from subscriptions directly funds the ongoing development of libephemeris and Kerykeion, which remain free and open-source for the entire community.
We believe that professional software and open source are not in conflict — one can sustain the other.
Future: Community OSS Edition
We are planning a community open-source edition of Astrologer Studio in the future. Details and timeline will be announced on our blog.
